In Fig 4 to the right, there are three patches
of Watercolors. Wherever in Fig 3 the filters overlapped, these Subtractive
Primary Pigments have been blended, producing exactly the same mixtures. Using
these three pigments, an Artist can mix all the colors of the spectrum plus
all the Magentas and Purples. No wonder the Artist regards these colors
to be "The Primary Colors"It is a shame that in the faculty of Fine Arts at a well accredited University, the Primary Colors are given as Red, Yellow, and Blue, while at the same University in the faculty of Arts and Science, the Primary Colors are given as Red, Green, and Blue.
