1.25" Tele Vue 4.8 mm Nagler Eyepiece The 7 element - 4 group 4.8mm Nagler eyepiece pictured at the left has an 82° Apparent Field of View and 7mm of built-in eye relief. It too is fully parfocal with a great many of Tele Vue Nagler, Plossl, Panoptic, and Radian eyepieces.  This eyepiece is not used with any other Barlow or Powermate lens. It is used entirely by itself, as it is the last focal length required to complete our space-walk. This original Nagler eyepiece is priced at $255.00 US, and like the 7mm Nagler on the previous page, has a more advanced Nagler Type 6 replacement.

The replacement has a focal length of 5 mm instead of 4.8 mm, and an Eye Relief of 12 mm instead of 7 mm.  It also has greater contrast than the original, and is priced at $280.00 US.
