Scanner Details

The 35mm. color negatives for these photographs were mounted in glass slide holders and placed in a Microtek ScanMaker model 1850 Slide digitizer. Controlled by Aldus Photostyler, the negatives were scanned in at a minimum of 814 dpi. horizontal resolution. They were processed from the resulting negative images, to full 24-bit positive images, by Glen A. McKerron*. They were then saved as LZW compressed "TIF" files, and subsequently reduced in size, converted to indexed 256 color images, edited, and saved again as "GIF" files. Finally, the "TIF" files were opened in Lview 3.1, where they were edited, and saved yet again as full screen "JPEG" files.

*Kevin R. McKerron Scanned and processed his own photographs.
