This pillar based $9,950.00 (US) Parallax HD200C Large Capacity Computerized German Equatorial Mount is beefy enough for the telescope's extra weight and comes with an Astro-Physics GTO Computer System.  The McKerron-Newtonian is a serious research grade telescope not intended for the casual Astronomer. It can, and will outperform any other telescope of its size, - as long as it is not hindered by inferior accessories. To this end, - the telescope comes with one of the above cameras, the appropriate color filter wheel, spectroscope, and mount, including all the necessary items that accompany those accessories.
My selection of the 54" focal length makes this a good Planetary Telescope that can hold its own as a Deep Sky Telescope with others of its own size.  This is especially true since this telescope is so much brighter than others of its size, - making it the equal of less well made telescopes of a larger diameter.
Consider this:  My improved method of mirror production enabled me to produce a mirror so fine,- it outshone the "very fine reference mirrors" of not one, but two top flight optical labs, - in spite of the very primitive optical bench I used in my mirror's production. The "very fine reference mirror" of an optical lab is the mirror against which new mirrors are compared when measuring Wavefront Error with an interferometer .
