The Royal Incas of Peru

I have no direct involvement with my subject, the Incas. In fact there is no person anywhere in the world today who can claim they have. The Native Americans now claiming to be Incas are merely the descendants of Inca Subjects, as the Incas themselves were not Native Americans.

My involvement with Incas comes from reading a very carefully written book by an ancient man who was unquestionably both Inca and Spanish. A book describing the author's Inca heritage in great detail.

Garcilaso de la Vega's mother, Princess Ñusta Chimpu Ocllo, was the granddaughter of the Inca Emperor, Tupac Inca Yupanqui. Her father being a younger brother of the succeeding Emperor, Huaina Capac.
