While staying at the Avenue Park Hotel in downtown Toronto, I met the music group "Chicago." This group came to the hotel quite frequently as they were very popular at the hotel's night spot; The Network Nightclub. This is an available light shot of "Charles" one of the group's lead singers.
I took the shot in the late 1980's using my Pentax Super Programmable camera with my Kiron 28-210 mm. zoom telephoto lens. I had the camera in its metered manual mode, and underexposed the fujicolor 1600 ASA film by three f: stops from the meter's recommended value. This was neccessary as the room was very dark, and Charles was well lit by spot lights.
