In April 1972 I was hired as a Photoarcheologist for an exploratory dig on the famous "Methy Portage" also known as "Portage LaLoche" and as "The Long Portage." This portage is 14 miles long, and crosses the Great Divide between the Mackenzie Watershed, and the Churchill Watershed.
