other models of Hollographic Laser Collimators at 650nm (Red) but they don't
function as Star Pointers, and they require some preparation work with the
Main Mirror. The Crosshair and Cheshire also require some preparation work
on the Main Mirror. In both cases, a donut ring is glued to the main mirror's
surface at the center.
Philip Harrington has a section in his book
"Star Ware" giving instructions on how to make your
own Cross Hair, and Cheshire Eyepieces for much less than $100.00 US.
