Method 2
At the left are a couple Laser Collimators hand machined
by Howie Glatter. The larger one on the left is the 2" - 1¼" Green model
that produces a laser beam with 5 milliwatts of power at a wavelength
of 532 nanometers. This device can be used to point out stars and constellations
outdoors in the night sky, as well as collimating optical instruments. Its
bright Green beam is visible even in bright daylight.
Attach one of Mr. Glatter's Holographic Adaptors
and you have one very powerful highly acurate collimating instrument that is
very rugged as well. Exercise great care when working with this device
not to shine it directly into anyones eyes, including your own. You can look
at its impact on a mirrored surface as long as the beam is not directed towards
your eye.
