Background Photo: Anonymous, Separated from rest of ad on the
inside cover of the August 1999 issue of "Astronomy" magazine. A Meade ETX-90EC
Maksutov Cassegrain; Aperture = 90mm, focal length = 1250mm, and F: = 13.8,
equipped with a series 4000 Super Plossl 26mm eyepiece! While it fails the
test of a good telescope, re the degree of magnification obtained with a 5mm
eyepiece,- it breaks the rule, as it is not marketed as a high power telescope.
Not shown is its built in motor mount and "goto" electronics. The max. useful magnification
is 180X, giving a 0.5mm exit pupil when a 6.9mm eyepiece is used.
